Neuro endocrine tumor: All things you need to know and various celebrities suffering from it

Neuro endocrine tumor is a condition in which the neuro endocrine cells develop into tumors. This tumor may either grow slowly or sometimes rapidly and can also spread to other parts of the body.
Generally the symptoms are not detected initially. Basically a neuro endocrine system is composed of neuro endocrine cells. These cells receive signal from the nervous system and then respond by making and releasing hormones. The working of this hormone is to control various body functions. The various symptoms are-
1.Nausea and Vomiting.
2.Diarrhea.
3.Weight loss.
4.A cough that does not go away.
5.Sweating, fainting, dizziness.
6.Skin rash.
7.Yellowing of skin
8.Indigestion.
9.Discomfort in the abdomen.
10.Persistent pain in specific area.

Treatment:
It is difficult to diagnose at early stage. It must be closely examined if any of the above symptoms occurs. It can be cured with the help of surgery. But the curing rate depends upon the stage of tumor. In early stage it can be cured. But if it is beyond this stage then the chance of curing decreases.

1.Steve Jobs: The co-founder of Apple was suffering from this tumor. But could not survive. It affected his pancreas.

2.Irrfan Khan: He become a buzz of the town after he should about this on the micro blogging site site Twitter. He did not reveal about it much. But he left for London, England for the treatment.
We hope and pray that he gets cured early and becomes healthy again.
